My name's Tara, I'm 18 years old and I am currently reading a BA degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT). I live in Cape Town, South Africa.

I've been designing websites for approximately five years. I've been working mostly on my own projects but am keen to expand.

In the four years since I started my first website, The Pensieve, I've learnt to work with javascript, css, html and a little bit of php. I've also become fluent in the web design program Macromedia Dreamweaver; graphics programs Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Fireworks; as well as the animation program Macromedia Flash. I've also picked up many useful techniques and trends as far as webdesign and the internet is concerned.

I ran a week long course in 2003 at the MTN ScienCentre in Canal Walk, Century City (Cape Town) on the basics of designing a website in Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

I patricularly thrive on designing graphics and layouts.

My hobbies include (besides web and graphic design): soccer, cricket, magic (as in David Blaine, not the card game), art, reading, poetry, music, history, politics and philosophy.
